17 Random Products You Just HAVE to Try

17 Random Products You Just HAVE to Try

When I tell people I work at Trader Joe’s, the first question I always get is: “What’s one product that I just have to try?”

I never know how to answer because there are so many incredible things to recommend, but here’s my best attempt:

1. Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips

Trader Joe’s version of Takis, but better. Dip in cream cheese for a good time.

2. Cauliflower Gnocchi

Easy frozen meal! Add some oregano leaves in the pan for a kick of flavor.

3. Miso Instant Ramen Soup

Like Cup of Noodles but without all the chemicals! Also the best hangover cure. Add Sriracha for an extra kick!

4. Unexpected Cheddar Cheese

This cheese is a crowd pleaser! Not quite cheddar, not quite parmesan, just have to try it and see for yourself!

5. Jackfruit Curry

This is my go-to frozen meal on my lunch breaks at work! For only $2.69, you can’t go wrong giving it a try. It’s vegan, too!

6. Mandarin Orange Chicken

Most popular frozen meal at Trader Joe’s! It actually wins the customer favorite product awards almost every year.

7. Fig & Olive Crisps

Subjectively the best cracker at Trader Joe’s. Perfect for a charcuterie board or to bring to a party! Pairs well with any cheese or dip.

8. Green Dragon Sauce

Sriracha’s green brother! Add to any meal for an extra kick.

9. Curried White Chicken Deli Salad

Another go-to lunch! Use pita crackers to dip for a balanced meal.

10. Gone Bananas

Frozen chocolate covered bananas = best dessert in Trader Joe’s. Don’t argue me on this.

11. Olive Oil Popcorn

A nice light snack that’s loaded with flavor! Best popcorn on the market.

12. Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter Cups

Similar to peanut butter cups, but slightly more interesting! Good for people with peanut allergies! (If you’re not allergic to sunflower seeds, that is.)

13. Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese

Okay, another good frozen meal. Like the classic Trader Joe’s Diner Mac n Cheese, but with a kick of heat and flavor. Mix in Trader Joe’s Butternut Squash Spirals for some extra nutrition!

14. Vegetable Masala Burger

Veggie patty seasoned with authentic Indian spices. Quick meal idea: toss arugula with olive oil, lemon, salt, and pepper. Heat patty on a stove top, serve with Garlic Spread (see # ) and avocado on the bed of arugula. You’re welcome.

15. Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend

I really can’t think of anything this would be bad on. Some of my favorite things to put it on are scrambled eggs, avocado toast, and grilled portobello mushrooms!

16. Marcona Almonds with Rosemary

A bit of a splurge, but a MUST-TRY if you haven’t had them! Good on their own or with a slice of ham.

17. Garlic Spread

I put this on everything. No joke. Sandwiches, salads, toast, burgers, chips…

My Favorite Lentil Soup

My Favorite Lentil Soup

Many people are intimidated when it comes to making soup from scratch, but fear not: if you can work a stove and chop vegetables, I can help you with the rest. All ingredients purchased at Trader Joe’s for under $15. More than four servings. Ingredients:…
